Nokia 5230 Pictures
I’m so excited, I got my Nokia 5230 today trough courier. I bought it online from eBay. Here are the live pictures taken by my old trusted Nokia N82. Surprisingly, the Asian version of 5230 has got stylus whereas in Gsmarena review picture, it can be clearly seen that the stylus slot is missing.

hi,, i also bought this nokia 5230, im now downloading firmware update
hope we can share others, i want to hack my phone.. but im still worried is it will be ok or not, i mean,i only got a way to hack nokia 5800, which same as nokia 5230, sym60 ver 5, but im not so sure with it

Why are you worried? Hacking doesn’t harm at all. Even if something happens you can always hard format your phone

Yeah, it can be hacked using Helloox 2.I’ll post the hacking tutorial tomorrow.

Does it supports multitouch?

No, it has got resistive touchscreen. Multitouch is present in capacitive touchsreen. Nokia 5233 is cheaper than 5230 by Rs 1000. It lacks 3G.

I am unable to receive an incomming call by using the touch screen. I have to hit the talk button on the bottom left of the nokia 5230. Is this the same case with all you people there.

It depends on your needs. Nokia 5800 adds TV Output, Wifi, Stereo Speakers, Autofocus 3.2 MP Camera with Flash and a better sales package including 8 GB Micro SD card, TV out cable, USB Data cable and Stand.

hi i am from India and am gonna buy this phone (or the 5233) but i dunno if the pen stylus is available here…………i mean in most of the pictures i have seen i cannot see the stylus at the back

Don’t worry the stylus is included in India version.

Hi, I just purchased Nokia 5230. Excellent features! But plz let me know how to use GPS and Maps features from my mobile. I stay at Pune (Maharashtra). I dont see anything happening whenever I open Maps. Will I be charged for GPS usage?

Hey, I have a 5230 without the stylus and I had a look at yours and it seems your back cover is a bit fatter than mine for the stylus. Could you look and tell me if all I need is a new back cover with the stylus slot to add a stylus to my phone? thanks

The phone has got a 2 MP cam….which is quite bad news…the image quality is acceptable,as the other phones in this level got atleast 3.2 MP cam with flash.This lacks flash.
BUT THE VIDEO QUALITY IS AWESOME.
Iam using 5230.(iAM from india)
VGA cam and upto 30 frames/sec..

i too have the same problem…i am not able to answer the calls using the touch screen..same is the case with the alarm also..please tell is it a bug..can i get it rectified..or should i change some settings..

Its awesome but you need high quality earphones.The supplied ones are not that good.I use Creative EP-630.Its awesome.

I have just bought one today a great phone it takes some getting used to.BE CAREFUL as I was installing apps thats needed with the phone and a software update I FOUND that for 3 miniute I used £35 and my phone was beeping like a heart moniter.ITS scary when I hadent finished the down load.Payasyougo is probally the best way to go with this phone unless your megga rich because its the networks slot machine

pictures sound and videos theres plenty of memory and the GPS IN great you can choose either langage man or womem to speek to you but the best thing is you can turn here off. all this is free attatch it to your car set your destination and youll not be dissapointed its a great phone if you like a challenge and gagits then this is a phone for you if you.If you have a small bugit beware it will put a hole in your cash and cash reserves be warned

dear prateek you just have to touch the screen in which the direction it is moving then you can switch of alarm.

sup ppl. I own a nokia 5230 nuron. It owsm. As for da answering cls and alarms wif a touch screen. Their is a sliding icon or bar under the alarm alert or caller. Slide it wif yo finger dan answer. Dat what i do. South africa

I got my nokia 5230 24 hours ago – it’s fantastic! It has back cover without stylus – any ideas where I could get one _with_ stylus? Wooden coffee stirrers are not bad, bue a decent stylus would be much better…

im using Nokia 5230 since last 3 months, im fully satisfied. And its many times better than Samsung Corby. The dif is that only Nokia 5230 has not Wifi but Corby has. And chioce is urs..

Yes, like someone else said – watch out for that software update – I just got caught out and said ‘yes’ to update and it cost me £35 of credit – I love the phone but I feel conned by that – it didn’t even finish the download. What a rip-off

hi there. i’m planning to buy this phone in a few days… i do however have a few questions:
1.) can you suspend your applications (such as mxit) on this phone?
2.) where will i be able to buy a protective cover case?
3.) what is a plectrum stylus used for?
