Nokia 5230 Hacking Tutorial
If you have used a symbian smartphone before you may be aware that Nokia has introduced a cumbersome signing process as a security measure to install apps, games and themes. To get rid of it the only solution is hacking your cellphone. Hacking lets you install all the applications, games and themes directly without signing. There is a very cool free application to do this task called Helloox2 but it is unsigned so you will need to sign it first before installation. Follow the simple procedure with screenshots to hack your Nokia 5230 smartphone.

Go to http://cer.opda.cn/en/. Register and Login.

After logging in, click on “Apply cer” as seen in “Screenshot 2″ above.

You need to fill the application form as shown in “Screenshot 3″ above. Find out the IMEI no of your Nokia 5230 by typing *#06# and fill it in the required field. After submitting the application form you have to wait for 24 hours.

Next day when you will login, click on “Signing Softs” as show above. Go to bottom of the page there you’ll get the option to upload file.

Download unsigned Helloox 2.03 and save it in your PC. Browse for the software enter Remark and click on “Submit and Upload” button.

You’re almost done. Download the signed version of Helloox 2.03 and install it in your Nokia 5230. After installing Go to Menu>Installed Apps>Helloox and run it. That’s it your phone is now hacked!

After hacking you will be able to add special folders(games, organizer, extras) in you 5230 or other 60v5 devices by editting the appshell data in your phone.It is very interesting. For details search in google ‘how to add specials folders in 5800.’

Guys after u hack ur phone using hellox , u need to download the certificate, registry entry,signsis.exe, and signsis tool. file from the same site. Its just there, below the u” apply and upload ” buttons.
After that run the tool,, add these cert,signsis. exe,reg entry and UR ANY UNSIGNED SIS FILE then give a name to ur new signed file and click on sign …
Now u have your own signed software or game…
U can do same for all the unsigned softwares or games… any more doubts mail me..

There must be one more application called ROM Patcher in your application folder.Open it and apply patch to both the files.After this you’ll be able to install any unsigned application.

if your Nokia 5230 Firmware is higher than v12.0.089, then helloox will not work on it.
With latest firmware, helloox will not work, the process will stop at installing root certificate…
Hacking allows it to install symbian softwares without signing, and access to the physical drive and more.
So the only way to install symbian software is signing the software yourself or download already signed software if the phone is not hacked.

Firmware v20.0.005 is hackable only through Phoenix or JAF. You just have to flash proper firmware and hack. Of course if you screw something, you’ll loose your warranty. Better wait for new HelloOX that can hack newest firmwares.

Those people who is having prob with hacking and the process stuck on unpacking files can format there MMC and run the helloox2 once again. But Real Prob starts at Installing root cert. after this process cell phone hangs on root cert.

I’m having same problems that phone just stucks at unpacking. I even tried to upgrade firmware and the same problem is still there. I just bought this 5230 two days ago so not sure has nokia done something to it lately that installing won’t work.

Im using a 5233 a small tip..just sign the apps u wanna install and install em without modifying the phone it is safer that way..it is the same as signing the hellox file just sign the app u wanna install and use it..and i have tested it works

According to HelloOX2′s web site, it is only compatible up to v12.0.089 of the Nokia 5230′s firmware. If you have higher than this (check by typing #*0000# in your phone), it may not work whatsoever.

Hi all, I was looking around for two days for a pdf reader for my Nokia 5230. I discovered an alternative pdf reader for this model.
Try: AlternateReader
http://sourceforge.net/projects/alternatedjvu/
(it’s safe and free!)
Connect your mobile to your computer (mine is a Mac) as ‘Mass Device’ (the only way for my Mac to read my mobile).
1.Download the application file unto the computer and unzip the folder.
2. Drag the file (AlternateReader S9.4 1.08(4) Release International.sisx) into your mobile. Put in the folder called ‘Other’.
3. Detached your mobile from the computer. Go to ‘File Manager’ on your mobile.
4. Go inside your Memory Card. You will see the folder ‘Other’.
5. Open ‘Other’ and you will find the installer for AlternateReader S9.4 1.08(4) Release International.sisx.
6. Just click install.
To download/transfer pdf documents, simply do the same. Connect your mobile to the computer and transfer the files to ‘Other’ or Attachment.
To open pdf documents with AlternateReader, go Menu –> Applications –> Inst. apps –> AlternateReader.
Once open the reader, go to option –> Open File –> Select ‘Memory’ –> Attachments –> you will see those PDFs that you have downloaded.
After selecting, you will see the hour glass spinning. It may take a while to open the documents.

By the way, to go from one page to another, you can either tap your mobile twice or go to ‘option’ – go to page __ (no.).
You can zoom in and out as well as view it in full screen mode. To return to normal viewing mode from full screen mode, simple tap and hold till the option box pops up.

hey.. i got nok 5800 firmware 50.0.0.05.. i ‘ve googled around finding a way to hack my phone. nothing i get.. the only way i found is to flash phone using hacked firmware.. i dont wanna use this method.. and then i tried request cert from opda (same as this tutorial), and now already a week, my certificate still applying..is that mean my certificate would not generated?? also, comments tfrom net said that sometime opda cert not working compared to symbiansigned,, but symbiansigned requires publishr id(need to buy). any solutions???

hey after i installed the heloo0x2 5230 fw 12.0.089 certificate error still insist! what the hell should i suppose to do? and after installing hello0x2 it automatically saves on the phone memory and hello0x2 folder is not visible unless you use explore!! and the other thing is rompatcher+ doesnt show up at the install apps folder after installation i checked it out on the hello0x folder using “x-plore” then run it but it says certificate error! what the hell! should it be signed in the cer.opda.cn? again? the rompatcher and the updaterD? by the way i try that and it says permission not granted! this is crazy!

After downloading the Helloox software. When i go to the applications to run the s/w , when i click on the helloox icon the it starts the processing and hangs on “Installing root certificate”. it continues to do the same unless it is not cancelled.

You installed applications won’t be affected by update or hack as Nokia UDP (user data preservation) keeps your files intact even after update. To be safe you can have a backup.

I installed helloox 2.03. And pressed the ”hack my phone” button. It sais that it installed RomPatcher+ but I cant find it. Hello. I have this problem. When i run the app in my 5230, it takes lot of time to unpack the files. I mean i did not leave it to finnish the operation as i don’t know if it’s right. Nokia 5230 firmware v21.0.004(check through *#0000#) is unhackable through hellox2.
Those who have updated their software version to that, hellox2 will not be installed rather will be stopped in the stage of unpacking files and it will never end. I am not sure whether this latest version is hackable so far by any method.
Those who have hacked the previous firmware through hellox2 will still get their phone hacked even after updating to the latest firmware version.
Hacking mobile has some disadvantage. You may experience malware and virus attack which will do some functional abnormality of your phone; such as ringtone, vibration alert,mail notification tone,downloading from ovi store will/may not work properly. And as a result you will need to master reset of your phone which will erase your all kind of installed application and data from phone memory(backing up your phone can reduce data loss).

I am able to sign and install helloox but while running this soft – at exact installing certificate it just stops or say hangs – after waiting almost 1hrs also it doesn’t move a bit
Earlier problem i faced while the soft showed unpacking files . – i just uninstalled it and again installed and run’ed now it stops at installation . .

Hi Guys,
I too faced loads of difficulties…being a totally newbie..
but after all the efforts i got successful:)
Step 1 Register urself at cer.opda.cn as explained.
step 2 download helloox and log in in cer.opda.cn
step 3 click on signing soft, browse hellow from ur download folder.
step 4 download after it gets successfully uploaded (remember sometimes it takes lot of time, u have to try many times till it get successfully uploaded)
step 5 put it in ur cell, and install it.
step 6 download any polarbit game.
step 7 get it signed using cer.opda.cn (same way u signed hellox)
now put the signed game in ur cell, it will be installed without showing any certificate error.
Remember ur login id at cer can get u many games signed, then u can install it, it wont show any error.

Expect Nokia 5233 and 5230 almost every s60 phones are hackable with hello0x2,
cause this two two phones have unhackable firmware, you need to hack your phone by flashing your phone with phnt method, but it may harm your phone,,

Installed succesfully on my Nokia 5233, when I ran the programme it shows two options – one is unhack the phone & second is hack the phone again which one I should click.

THE BEST WAY IS TO GET CERTIFICATE THEN IF ANY APPLICATION SAYS CERTIFICATE PROBLEM JUST DO THE SAME, GO TO THE SITE=>Signing Softs=> CLICK ON YOUR CERTIFICATE=>THERE IS A OPTION DOWN THERE UPLOAD FILES BROWSE THE SOFTWARE WHICH HAS CERTIFICATE ERROR THEN CLICK ON “SUMIT AND UPLOAD” THEN I WILL UPLOAD, THEN OPTION WILL COME “DOWNLOAD” DOWNLOAD THE FILE AND INSTALL THE DOWNLOADED FILE IN YOUR PHONE IT WILL NOT GIVE THE ERROR

I did it in a diff way n it works on my 5230. Instead of uploading Helloox_unsigned, i used the .cer n .key files to sign Heloox. I used Freesinger.

Wen uploading failed, i tried following steps frm my 5230 n it works…
Steps:
1. Install Freesigner
2. Register at cer.opda.cn/en n used Apply Cer to apply for ur handset’s .cer n .key.
3. Download ur .cer n .key files to ur memory card
4. Open Freesinger –> Options –> Settings. Select ‘Sign cer’ and ‘Sign key’ and open ur .cer n .key files respectively frm ur memory card then click ‘back’ button
5. Now click ‘Add task’ n open ‘Helloox 2 unsinged’ which u have alrdy downloaded –> Options –> Add –> Sign sis –> OK.
6. Click Options ‘Go’.
U wil see ‘Progress’ for a few secs then its done. Ur ‘Helloox 2 unsinged’ is signed now. Nw u can find ur signed helloox wth the name ‘Helloox 2 unsigned_signed.sis’ exctly at the location wher u saved ur unsigned Helloox. Go install it and run it, ur phöne is hacked.. Bingo!!

when i go to the website “opada” , i have entered the certificate and in 4 hours it said normal and i downloaded the unsigned version of hell00x, but when i go to sign the software i enter the upload file and the remark but when i click on “submit and upload” nothing happens.

tried installing the signed version of helloOX 2.03 and ive succeeded..but i dont see rompatcher app in installed apps folder….when in try to hack again from helloOX it gets stuck at installing root cert…..can anyone help plzzzz…

i did everything in that tutorial.
downloaded, registered on that website. uploaded and signed that hacking software. downloaded to my pc and installed on my nokia 5230. but when i ran it. it started unpacking some stuff. and did this for an hour or more til my battery died. now i can’t run it again nor delete the software. and my phone acts very unstable now.
what should i do now????
